Last month, the Greerton Volunteer Fire Brigade each received their Tohu for their commitment to working in partnership with Māori as tangata whenua and dedication to progressing knowledge and understanding of Māori culture.

Cooks Beach Volunteer Fire Brigade’s Mila Smith de Zeeuw has been named the recipient of the Annual Yellow Ribbon Road Safety Hero Award.
NorthCom celebrated 285 years of combined service to Fire and Emergency New Zealand and its predecessors at their Honours night.
Peter Pehi, Rural Controller and wife Heni Butler, Senior Firefighter, both with the Waimarino Volunteer Fire Brigade, were recognised for their dedicated service to the community at an honours night in Ohakune.
It was a night of commemoration and celebration with old friends and new, as Wellington Operational Support Unit (WOSU) marked their 125th anniversary on 15 October.
