As of the date of this notice, the hydrostatic testing of BA cylinders shall be carried out five yearly.This applies to all BA cylinders in Fire and Emergency New Zealand use.The process of hydrostatically testing the BA cylinders does not change.
Our glove supplier can't supply some sizes of our structural firefighting gloves. We are introducing a replacement glove, on an interim basis only, until supplies of our current glove can be resumed or guaranteed. Not all sizes are affected, and the current gloves will be issued where possible.
Due to a failure of a hose tower winch which caused serious injuries to a firefighter, hose tower winches are not to be used until they have been inspected and deemed safe.
