Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of retired DCFO and LHM Graeme Watson on 6 April 2023. Graeme joined the Otaki Brigade, after serving in Wainuiomata, in 1966. He served until 1995, the last 23 years as Deputy Chief Fire Officer. A private service has been held.

The Dunedin Fire Brigade wish to advise of the passing of ex firefighter Peter Scoles on May 12th 2023. Peter joined the brigade in 1972 and served with the New Zealand Fire Service for 32 years. As per Peter’s wishes a private cremation was held.
