There is lots to read including the first round of training for our Specialist Water Response teams, a simulated 'aeroplane crash' in Wellington, and our response to the devastation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle.

We recently conducted training for swift water rescue which has kick-started the formal building of this capability within Fire and Emergency. 

A bus was used in an 'air crash' training exercise in Wellington.

Cyclone Gabrielle caused a state of emergency to be declared.

 And portable pumps were put to the test at Palmerston North Station.
