This morning, members of Whiria te Tāngata | Rainbow Network came together with people from around Fire and Emergency in Wellington to celebrate the official launch of the network.
A group of teenage girls had an introduction to fire, emergency, and disaster management skills this week at National Training Centre in Rotorua.
O’Week season is in full swing across the motu and our teams have been popping up at universities in Auckland, Waikato, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and Invercargill to engage one of our high-risk audience – young people living in rental accommodation – and encourage them to ‘stay off the stove’ if they’re drunk or high.
International Women’s Day on 8 March is a chance to acknowledge and celebrate the achievements of all wāhine within our organisation, and everyone who supports them to succeed.
February is Auckland Pride Month, and Fire and Emergency will be celebrating by joining the Auckland Rainbow Parade on 18 February.
Lunar New Year is the festival that celebrates the beginning of a new year on the traditional lunisolar and solar calendar.
The next Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) conference will be held in Brisbane between 22 and 25 August 2023.
The countdown is on for the Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games (AP&ES Games) in Rotorua from 3-10 March 2023.
