This month, let’s come together to celebrate the FENZ Rainbow Communities, and celebrate a diverse Aotearoa! The annual Pride parades happening across the motu are a chance to bring our people together, have fun, and highlight issues relevant to rainbow communities on both a local and international level.

This year, the Auckland Rainbow Parade is on Saturday 18 Feburary. The Parade will open from 7:30pm by Tole Street in Ponsonby, and continue down Ponsonby Road, ending near Crummer Road.

If you want to join us with friends and whānau for a fun day of music, dancing, rainbows and laughter, you can meet the team at Auckland Central Station. They will be there from 3.30pm, so you can join anytime from then. Decorating will start about 4.30pm if you would like to help with that, while the group will hikoi to the parade together about 5.15pm.

Besides walking alongside colleagues, friends and whānau, we need people to work with returning volunteers, decorate, marshal and drive fire appliances, as well as enthusiastic flag wavers and water gun sprayers, so there are plenty of options.

To register interest and ask us any questions, email us today!

Once registered, we will email you with more detailed information about the day.
