It is with great sadness the Nelson Marlborough District advise of the passing of Ian (Monty) Montgomery. Ian was the past Controller with the Ōkiwi Bay Brigade, a position he held for many years. In keeping with Ian’s wishes, a private cremation has been held.
It is with a huge degree of sadness that Kaikohe Fire Brigade advise of the sudden passing on Thursday 15 March of ex DCFO Andrew Prangley. Andrew served with the Paeroa, Rawene, Kaikohe and Kamo Brigades, completing a total 26.
It is with great sadness the New Plymouth Fire Brigade advise the passing of ex Senior Firefighter Graeme Trigger on Wednesday 13 March 2024. Graeme joined Inglewood Fire Brigade in November 1963 and then moved to the New Plymouth Fire Brigade in 1969, where he served until 2007.

Wellington District advises the passing of ex Qualified Firefighter Frank Anderson, aged 80 years, on Thursday 15 February. Frank joined Upper Hutt Fire Brigade in March 1972 with the majority of his service being at Trentham Fire Station and served until retirement in July 2010.
It is with great sadness the Nelson Marlborough District advise the passing of Ray (Mac) McKnight, Ray was a QFF at Nelson Station from 3rd October 2005 until 31st July 2011. Ray was a valued brigade member in Christchurch before his time at Nelson Station.
