The Southern Fire Communication Centre and Canterbury Fire District advise of the passing of ex Senior Firefighter and ex Senior Dispatcher John Goodliffe on Friday 1 March.

John started his career as a firefighter with the Christchurch Fire Brigade in 1968, then became a Control Room Operator in 1979, serving until his retirement from Southcom in 2012.

A service to celebrate John’s life will be held at 10.30am on Friday 8 March at Lamb & Hayward in Halswell, corner of Wigram Road and Halswell Junction Road.
