This Sunday 5 December is International Volunteer Day, a chance to acknowledge and thank our volunteers, and all those who support them, for keeping New Zealand safe.
Some of our USAR people located at NHQ, Auckland, and Hawke’s Bay participated in a China-run INSARAG International Earthquake Response Exercise (IERE).

Laingholm Brigade advises of the passing of ex-firefighter Vern Niko. Vern served in the Laingholm Brigade from September 2006 until April 2013. Owing to Covid restrictions his funeral service has had to be restricted to close family members only.
