With heavy hearts, Invercargill Fire Brigade advise of the passing of Terry Cook (SFF – Brown Watch) on 27 May 2024 at Southland Hospital.
Terry served with the Invercargill Fire Brigade from October 2005 until October 2023.
On Tuesday, three of our people received awards on behalf of their teams at the prestigious New Zealand Search and Rescue Awards at Parliament.

Hutt–Wairarapa Operational Support Unit advise of the passing of Lawrence Wilbur Snelgar on 12 May. Lawrence served with the Marton Volunteer Fire Brigade from 1952 until 1954, the Wellington Fire Station from 1955 to 1956 and the Lower Hutt Central Fire station from 1956 until 1981.
Urenui brigade announce the passing of Eifion Williams, ex-member of Urenui Brigade and former mechanic at Bell Block Service Centre.
The funeral will be held at the Knox Presbyterian Church, 17 Grey Street, Waitara. Commencing at 11:00 on Friday 24th May.

It is with heavy hearts that the Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of Qualified Firefighter Davina Solomon.
Davina served with both the Foxton and Levin Volunteer Fire Brigades, starting her firefighter journey with the Foxton Brigade in August 2015.
