It is with heavy hearts that the Levin Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of Qualified Firefighter Davina Solomon.

Davina served with both the Foxton and Levin Volunteer Fire Brigades, starting her firefighter journey with the Foxton Brigade in August 2015.

Davina will be with us at the Levin Fire Station for our final goodbyes today Thursday 16 May, before receiving her final call at 0800hrs Friday 17 May.

She will then make the long journey to the far north and Moria Marae at Whirinaki on the Hokianga Harbour.

The Levin fire station will be opening our doors from 1700hrs (5pm) for all those that wish to come and pay their final respects to Davina, “that touched so many hearts, and will be forever in ours.”

The dress code for Fire and Emergency personnel at Davina’s final call tomorrow morning at 0800 hours is undress uniform, with caps.
