Manawatu Whanganui District advise of the passing of Norman Donald Bottcher (Norm). Norm was a founding member of the Rongotea Brigade and served from 1955 to 1966. A service for Norm is being held on Wednesday September 2023.
Southern Lakes Volunteer Fire Brigade (SLVFB) advise the passing of former member Bryan Hayes. Bryan was a founding member of the Omori Volunteer Rural Fire Force (now SLVFB).
Wellington District advise of the passing of ex Assistant Fire Commander Dave Owens (Wellington). Dave started his service in the UK and emigrated to New Zealand to become a firefighter in Hamilton in 1973.

The Nelson Marlborough Fire District advise of the passing of SSO Robbie Allan (retired) on 11 September 2023. Robbie served at the Nelson Fire Station from 1973 to his retirement in 2019.
Canterbury District advise of the passing of Desmond (Des) Earl over the weekend. Des served with the Culverden Fire Brigade from 1957 till 1991, taking over from Paul Rauker as Fire Chief in 1976.
Hamilton Fire Station advise of the passing of Fred Rowe. Fred was a former SFF at Hamilton station and CFO of Dunedin Fire Station. His funeral will be held on Friday 15 September at 10. 30am at Seddon Park.
