The Cobden Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of the ex-Chief Fire Officer Trevor Molloy, Gold Star member, Honorary Life Member of Cobden Volunteer Fire Brigade and past president of West Coast Provincial Fire Brigades Association. Trevor served for 38 years from 1959 to 1997.
Fire and Emergency advises of the passing of Kenneth Alan (Ken) Rintoul from Okaihau, Northland on 29 November. Ken had been a member of Fire and Emergency’s Northland Local Advisory Committee since June 2020. Ken’s background was in the construction and civil engineering industries.
The Waipara and Amberley Volunteer Fire Brigades advises of the passing of Eric Archibald on 17 November 2022. Eric was the ex-CFO of the Waipara Brigade and the ex-DCFO of the Amberley Brigade and a Life Member of both brigades.
Kaitangata Volunteer Fire Brigade advise of the passing of ex-DCFO John Joseph (Jack) Hurring on 5 November. A Fire and Emergency funeral for Jack will be held at Kaitangata Community Centre on Friday 18 November at 1. 30pm, followed by refreshments at the Kaitangata Fire Station.

Norman served in the Queenstown Volunteer Fire Brigade between 1999 and 2002, the Wanaka Volunteer Fire Brigade from 2003 to 2004, and the Cromwell Volunteer Fire Brigade from 2004 to 2012.

Alastair was a firefighter at Burkes Pass for 22 years.

Larry joined on the 11 September 1984 and was in his 38th year of continued service.
Ruakaka Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of Ken Clark on Wednesday 12 October 2022. Ken joined 16 March 1970 and was a career firefighter across many stations in Auckland. He later moved to Ruakaka and joined the brigade, where he was a life member.
