Palmerston North Fire Brigade advise the passing of Joseph Owen Rush, former Senior Station Officer and Life Member on Friday 31 March 2023.

Joe had a been a member of the Ohakune Volunteer Fire Brigade and then joined the New Zealand Fire Service as a career firefighter at the Palmerston North Fire Brigade in July 1963. He was a recipient of the UFBA 50 year service medal.

A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at the Palmerston North Fire Station, 50 Cook Street, Palmerston North on Monday 3 April at 1.00pm.
