Wellington District sadly advise of the passing of ex Station Officer Gary Beban on Wednesday 10 April 2024.

Gary joined the New Zealand Fire Service in 1979 and was a valued and respected member of the Wellington and Hutt Valley brigades for all his service until his retirement in 2015.

At Gary’s request, at private cremation was carried out on Thursday 11 April 2024. However, a memorial service for Gary will be held in the coming weeks.
