Turua Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of past Deputy Chief Fire Officer and Gold Star recipient, Brian Wigmore (Wiggy). Wiggy passed on Wednesday 20th September 2023 after a short illness.
Celebration/funeral is at Turua Hall, Tuesday 26th September at 11am followed by private cremation. Full undress uniform.

Canterbury District advise of the passing of Desmond (Des) Earl over the weekend. Des served with the Culverden Fire Brigade from 1957 till 1991, taking over from Paul Rauker as Fire Chief in 1976.
