You may have read our news story on 29 October that a technical issue has caused a problem with some operational personnel start dates in the HR/Payroll and SMS systems. The issue affects personnel who began operational (including ComCen personnel) duties before April 2000, when the current HR/Payroll system was introduced.

The IT team has been working with our supplier, Provoke, and we believe the problem has been largely resolved. Another system refresh will take place overnight and final verification testing will be done tomorrow morning. If this goes as expected we will implement a fix to the problem. We will also do more verification testing to ensure the data is correct. A review will be done to prevent this from occurring again which could include developing an alternative longer term solution.
