As we celebrate the appearance of Matariki and Puanga, many people take the time to remember those who have passed on since the last rising of these star clusters. At this morning’s dawn ceremony in Pōneke (Wellington) we took time saying the names of those who have served our organisation, past and present, as well as our own friends and whānau.

By acknowledging them they are able to join the stars and will be looked forever after by the stars. Below are some of the people we were able to acknowledge this morning.
