ASB Polyfest (the Auckland Secondary Schools Māori & Pacific Islands Cultural Festival) is a four-day festival celebrating dance, music and speech-making, with thousands of high school students competing across six stages in front of crowds that swell to beyond 80,000 attendees.

It’s also a highlight on the annual engagement calendar for our crews in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland as a fantastic opportunity to connect with and educate the community on the importance of fire safety. All while celebrating the vibrant passion for culture that Polyfest brings!

You can check out the results and livestreams from many of the events on the Polyfest website: https://www.asbpolyfest.co.nz/(external link)

Our Chief Executive Kerry Gregory went along this year to visit our crew at the event. While he was there, he caught up with Station Officer Anthony Pennington for a kōrero on the importance of Fire and Emergency having a presence at the festival.
