Message from our Chair: Annual Report 2019/20 released

Kei ngā ihu oneone o te tari nei, tēnā koutou katoa. (To the hard workers of our organisation, I acknowledge you all)

Today I’m pleased to release our Annual Report for the 2019/20 year.

This year marks the third and final year of our Integration phase. We’ve worked hard to bring together rural and urban and rural fire services, and to develop all the things we need to operate as one unified organisation.

We have more to do, yet we enter the Unification phase with a sense of achievement. We are well on our way to creating a unified Fire and Emergency New Zealand.

To mark the final year of Integration, we have also developed Fire and Emergency – Three Years On, which highlights our achievements over the past three years as we move forward to becoming a unified organisation.

I want to thank you all for your dedication and service to your communities, particularly given the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
