Laingholm Brigade advises of the passing of ex-firefighter Vern Niko. Vern served in the Laingholm Brigade from September 2006 until April 2013. Owing to Covid restrictions his funeral service has had to be restricted to close family members only.
Te Kei Region Office, Otago District and Dunedin Fire Brigade advise the passing of Barry Gibson, ex Principal Fire Risk Manager, longtime Fire Risk Management Officer and Station Officer from Dunedin Brigade and Te Kei. Barry started his service in 1972 completed over 44 years.
New Brighton Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of ex firefighter Robert Fisher. Robert served with the New Brighton Volunteer Fire Brigade from 1982 to 1985 and again from 2001 to 2014.

Zane served with the Kawerau Fire Brigade from 27 July 1987 to 14 September 2020. A funeral service will be held for Zane at Willetts Funeral Home, Whakatane at 11am on Thursday 11 November.

Onehunga Fire Station advises of the passing of Peter Raymond (Pete) Nicol on 13 October. Pete served for 22 years with the Volunteer Fire Service with Onehunga and Papakura Fire Service.

Motueka Volunteer Fire Brigade advise of the passing of ex firefighter Nookie (Malcolm) Hannen on the 15th October 2021. Nookie was a member from 1975 to 1982 and was a keen firefighter and member of the brigade competition team.
The Motueka Volunteer Fire Brigade advise the passing of ex Station Officer Allan Hamilton on the 13th October. Allan was a life member of the Motueka Fire Brigade and a Gold Star recipient, having served at Onehunga as well as Motueka.
Wallingford Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade advise the passing of Colin Russell on Monday 4th October 2021. Colin was a very early member of the Wallingford Rural Fire Unit under the Central Hawkes Bay Rural Fire Authority before joining Fire and Emergency New Zealand in 2017.
