The Kaeo Volunteer Fire Brigade advises of the passing of past member and former DCFO Kevin Holland on 27 April 2020. Kevin was a Gold Star Recipient. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private cremation will take place and a service will be held at a later date.
The Tapu Volunteer Fire brigade advises the passing of QFF Brett Walters on 23 April 2020. Brett joined the brigade in 1998 and since then has been an active member and first responder. In line with current, and near future COVID-19 requirements, private arrangements will be made.

A cause and origin report into the New Zealand International Convention Centre fire in Auckland’s city centre on 22 October last year has found the cause of the fire was accidental.
The Warkworth Volunteer Fire Brigade advises the passing of ex Chief Fire Officer Brian Tucker. Brian joined the Warkworth Brigade in 1960 and served as the Chief Fire Officer from 1991 to 1993. There will be a private cremation followed by a family service.
The Invercargill Fire Brigade advises the passing of Senior Firefighter Ben H (Cobb) McLean. Ben Started as a firefighter in 1974, when he joined the Tapanui Volunteer Fire Brigade in West Otago. Ben became a career firefighter in 1977, when he joined the Invercargill Brigade.
Kawakawa Volunteer Fire Brigade advises the passing of Ex Station Officer Marshall (Bundo) Rangi.
Bundo was a Gold Star and life member of the Kawakawa Volunteer Fire Brigade having served for over 30 years.

Jack was a founding member of the Ohai Volunteer Fire Brigade. A private burial has taken place. A Memorial Service is proposed for a later date.
