The expansion of incidents Fire and Emergency is now required to respond to has seen an increase in our personnel working on or near the road and carrying out Stop/Go duties.
Action
Volunteers who suffer a loss of personal income as a result of exposure to the COVID-19 virus during operational activities may claim reimbursement, in accordance with the process outlined in this notice.
All personnel should be aware that it is forbidden for civilians, non-Fire and Emergency personnel, to ride in the basket or on the boom of any aerial appliance unless it is for operational purposes at an incident and has been approved by the Incident Controller.
