Service Delivery will be advertising for 12 new positions over the coming months across the Risk Reduction, Community Readiness and Recovery, and Response Capability directorates.

These roles are pivotal in ensuring we continue to develop, deliver, and maintain our operational response and reduction capabilities. These roles provide a real opportunity for you to shape what happens on the front line and to make a real difference to the role Fire and Emergency plays in serving and supporting our communities. You will work closely with the Districts and other functions within the organisation to ensure we can meet our legislative requirements and be leaders in the sector.

As these new roles will be instrumental in developing and improving these, we are looking for 12 people with the specialist skills needed to deliver this work across various aspects of Service Delivery.

To better serve New Zealand it is vital that we work with our partners and key stakeholders to collectively reduce the risks of incidents occurring, minimise the harm caused, ensure that communities are ready for when emergencies do occur, that we can respond accordingly, and that communities recover quickly. Some of these key roles will also be involved in establishing and maintaining collaborative and influential partnerships at a national level.
