Online education webinar: Preparing patients for air retrieval
As part of our partnership agreement with My Health Hub to deliver health/medical response-related topics to our people, on Tuesday, 24 October at 7pm, there will be a webinar on preparing patients for air retrieval.
The webinar will be presented by Toni Johnston, moderated by Cam Grylls, our Senior Specialist, Medical Response Tohunga Matua, Whakautu Hauora and has been developed with input from our Safety Health and Wellbeing team.
The webinar will cover:
- An overview of the considerations of the physiological impacts of moving patients by
- air (rotary & fixed wing)
- Patient categories and some of the patient-specific interventions
- Trauma Network & destination policies, why we don't just go to the local hospital.

We encourage all operational personnel to register for the webinar. The webinars are relatively interactive and have had great feedback.
