Kia Orana! It’s Cook Islands Language Week!

This week is Epetoma o te reo Māori Kūki ‘Āirani - Cook Islands Language Week.

The theme for this year is ‘Ātuitui’ia au ki te au peu o tōku kāinga Ipukarea - Connect me to the traditions and culture of my homeland.

Being able to communicate effectively with all communities in Aotearoa fulfils two of our key values at Fire and Emergency; Manaakitanga – We serve and support, and Whanaungatanga – We are better together.
