Fire and Emergency New Zealand personnel are very well respected in our communities and enjoy a very high level of trust and welcome. This trust allows us to regularly visit homes and workplaces to do things such as Home Fire Safety and FireSmart Visits (HFSV), issuing fire permits, checking and installing smoke alarms, and providing general fire safety advice.

A recent article in the Herald (see article below or on NZ Herald site(external link)) has highlighted a spate of incidents in Auckland where a man has offered to install smoke alarms and once inside has stolen items from the homeowners.

Fire Region Manager, Ron Devlin will be on Annual Leave from 9th of August until 11th of September 2017. Aaron Waterreus will be acting Fire Region Manager in Ron’s absence and Kevin Cowper will be acting Area Manager in Area 7 – Eastern Waikato.
