The latest round of Health Monitoring checks will be carried out over the next few months by Carol Roberts starting Wednesday 9th May. These checks will consist of the following:

Vision
Cardiovascular

Friday 18 May is Pink Shirt Day, a global movement to put a stop to bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting positive social relationships. As you will be aware, Fire and Emergency is committed to your safety, health and wellbeing.
Physical Competency Assessments (PCAs) are due again and are required to be completed by 30th June. Jeff Shrimpton is coordinating this as per the attached schedule. Senior Station Officer’s will coordinate appliance movements on the day to ensure Area coverage and any operational requirements are met.

I would like to acknowledge your good work and pass on our Regional Management Team’s appreciation and thanks for all your efforts over the last week dealing with the effects of the recent storms.
Senior station Officer Gardner has been seconded to the position of AAM for the period of AAM Thornton’s absence. This is expected to be for 6 weeks.

Physical Competency Assessments (PCAs) practice runs are nearing completion. The formal assessments are to be completed by 30th June.
Below is the timetable for the formal assessment dates. In attendance will be an Executive Officer and a PFU Representative.
Recent thefts from Fire and Emergency appliances and auxiliary vehicles. In the last six months we have had several items stolen from Fire and Emergency Appliances and mobile display units.
