Career personnel are to remove the standard issue mask (keeping it contained within mask bag) and ensure it is easily accessible on the appliance in a dry, known location for other personnel to use should it be needed.
ActionNote that St John have issued a Safety Alert to their staff as they have had several reports of personnel who are performing CPR receiving electric shocks during defibrillation for cardiac arrest. No one has been injured.
