It is disappointing to see that the City hose repair department are increasingly receiving hose that is not clean enough to enable them to repair, or even touch in some cases for fear of personal contamination.

The decision has been made to withdraw the fire safety message balloons that are currently available through online ordering. An unintended consequence of handing out these balloons to the public was that a number of them were discarded incorrectly and ended up polluting the marine environment.
