The purpose of this Region notice is again to remind all staff to remain vigilant and safe at all vegetation fires they may attend.
The responsibilities as outlined in the Waitemata Fire Area Total Station workload management document have not changed for several years. This notice is to advise that they will change from 1 July 2019 .
During the makeup of a hose reel at an incident, a firefighters thumb was cut through their level 1 gloves by glass fragments that had become embedded in the hose reel tubing.
