This notice is to clarify the Hazmat/Decontamination Capability of
Auckland City 2018 and Otara 3318. The decontamination corridors are currently no longer carried on these appliances. Auckland City 2018 and Otara 3318 do carry equipment for deployment of functional decontamination showers to meet our operational needs.

Physical Competency Assessments (PCAs) are due again and are required to be completed by 30th June. Jeff Shrimpton is coordinating this as per the attached schedule. Senior Station Officer’s will coordinate appliance movements on the day to ensure Area coverage and any operational requirements are met.

After 38. 5 Years with the New Zealand Fire Service and Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Jim has tendered his resignation. His last day on duty will be Wednesday 24th January 2018 where he will then take some leave.

After 39 Years with the New Zealand Fire Service, Grant has tendered his resignation. His last night on duty will be Monday the 11th Dec. Grant will then take some accrued leave and finish up on the 8th Jan 2018.

The 2017 ITM 500 V8 Super Cars will be held over 3 days at the Pukekohe Park Raceway on the 3rd to 5th November. Fire and Emergency NZ, Counties Manukau Area is once again supporting this event due to its size and International exposure.
