BA cylinders currently in test shall be tested in accordance with their current test schedule – i.e three yearly – until they are next tested. From the date of their next test they then move to a five yearly schedule.This notice is an update to National Notice 027/2017 issued on 12th December 2017.

Our glove supplier can't supply some sizes of our structural firefighting gloves. We are introducing a replacement glove, on an interim basis only, until supplies of our current glove can be resumed or guaranteed. Not all sizes are affected, and the current gloves will be issued where possible.

As of the date of this notice, the hydrostatic testing of BA cylinders shall be carried out five yearly.This applies to all BA cylinders in Fire and Emergency New Zealand use.The process of hydrostatically testing the BA cylinders does not change.
