After 46. 5 Years with the New Zealand Fire Service and Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Willie has tendered his resignation as at 5th November. Willie joined the North Shore Fire Board in 1972 working throughout all the North Shore Stations.

Officers are required to follow the fault finding guidance on the Motorola APX 6000 and 8000 poster before sending a Motorola IGC radio for repair. Motorola IGC radios, complete with battery and RSM need to be taken to Takapuna Station when they require repair.
