The 2nd Quarter watch audits are due now. The Audit will be carried out at the Area Office Takapuna Fire Station. Part of the Audit will be looking at a combination of Basic Drills from Donning and Starting, Hose Drills and Pump Operation through to Incident Command Functions.

Waitemata Area would like to welcome Paul Johnson and Logan Martin to the Area Support team. They are both undertaking roles as Volunteer Support Officers. Paul has come from Birkenhead station and will have Silverdale, Manly, Greenhithe, East Coast Bays, Devonport and Birkenhead stations as his responsibilities.

All career firefighters should now be aware of the change to driving hours. As of the 13th of August 2018 career firefighter drivers had a new set of rules for driving on a second (consecutive) shift.
