After 46. 5 Years with the New Zealand Fire Service and Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Willie has tendered his resignation as at 5th November. Willie joined the North Shore Fire Board in 1972 working throughout all the North Shore Stations.

A fixed term/secondment has arisen for a Volunteer Support Officer to support the Waitemata Area - until 28 February 2020
The role will report through the Area Manager and will be responsible for supporting the volunteer brigades within the Area with:
Operational and administrative support including monitoring operational readiness
Fire risk management initiatives…

This is the message that Volunteer and Career personnel have previously been given.
This year the (ITM 500) V8 Super Cars will be held over 3 days at the Pukekohe Park Raceway on the 2nd to 4th November. The Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade is once again supporting this event due to its size and International exposure.
Please note Fire Region Manager Kerry Gregory will be on leave from 17 September till 30 September 2018. Over this period Bryan Cartelle will cover both roles as acting Fire Region Manager and Region Manager Rural.
Be advised that SF examinations will be held at 0900-1100hrs on Tues 2nd October at Waitemata Area HQ. This is a Red Watch first day shift.
As the result of a Level 2 investigation into a fire appliance getting stuck off the hard standing and the resultant attempts at towing the vehicle back onto the hard surface several corrective actions were found that required this notice.
