The following vacancies exist for existing Officers and Firefighters wishing to transfer across area’s 3, 4, and 5.
These awards have been established in this region to provide formal recognition to Fire and Emergency teams, individuals and members of the community who have demonstrated outstanding excellence and contribution to our organisation and the communities that we serve.

Transdev Auckland operations group have advised Fire and Emergency that they are about to roll out a modification to the external emergency door release (Egress) handle on their fleet of electric trains.
It is disappointing to see that the City hose repair department are increasingly receiving hose that is not clean enough to enable them to repair, or even touch in some cases for fear of personal contamination.

Note that the NZTA Variation to driving hours has been renewed for another year. All ComCens and fire stations where career firefighters are based must print out a copy of the variation and produce it on demand if requested by an inspector.
A Volunteer Firefighter from the Te Atatu Fire Station was unknowingly exposed to the measles virus at the beginning of August. Fortunately their interaction with other members of Fire and Emergency was limited for a period of ten days or more from the original exposure.
