Station Officer, Ewen McRae has completed over 47 years’ with NZ Fire Service and Fire and Emergency. We will be celebrating Ewen’s retirement with morning tea on Wednesday, 24 February 1100 hours at Papatoeotoe Fire Station.

The voluntary water restrictions implemented by Fire and Emergency are now lifted. Crews can return to using reticulated water for appliance cleaning, training and hose and equipment testing.

In recognition of Michael (Ringo) Harwood’s 50 years’ service with Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Auckland City Fire Area will be hosting the presentation of his Fifty Year Service Medal. The ceremony will also include four Gold Star presentations.
