A fixed term/secondment has arisen for a Volunteer Support Officer to support the Waitemata Area - until 28 February 2020
The role will report through the Area Manager and will be responsible for supporting the volunteer brigades within the Area with:
Operational and administrative support including monitoring operational readiness

Earlier in the Integration (5/4/2018) we were instructed that the uniform we currently wear is an interim arrangement so don’t rush out and rebrand all existing uniform.

This year the (ITM 500) V8 Super Cars will be held over 3 days at the Pukekohe Park Raceway on the 2nd to 4th November. The Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade is once again supporting this event due to its size and International exposure.

The Communication Centres are preparing for a significant system upgrade. To prepare for that upgrade, testing of all Fire and Emergency New Zealand ComCen interfaces must be carried out ahead of time. All operational personnel must carry their allocated pagers for turnout.

As the result of a Level 2 investigation into a fire appliance getting stuck off the hard standing and the resultant attempts at towing the vehicle back onto the hard surface several corrective actions were found that required this notice.

Two South Auckland Fire District staff are currently due for presentation of Gold Stars. The presentation of these honours will be on Friday 14th September 2018 at a function at Area HQ.
