This notice is to follow up on 008/2019: New local operational planning procedures. Fire and Emergency New Zealand now has a responsibility to review Emergency Response Plans (ERP). Some stations may have already received an ERP to review.

Auckland City Station BA hub has 2 loan Multi-Rae gas detectors available, for Areas 3, 4 and 5, to be used as temporary replacements should your detector require servicing or repair.

Along with its salvage capability the Incident Support Vehicle (Balmoral 6117) has an array of ventilation fans that may be used at a wide range of incidents, for a variety of purposes, across the region. These may include but are not limited to;
Ventilation of large commercial structures.

This notice is to clarify the Hazmat/Decontamination Capability of
Auckland City 2018 and Otara 3318. The decontamination corridors are currently no longer carried on these appliances. Auckland City 2018 and Otara 3318 do carry equipment for deployment of functional decontamination showers to meet our operational needs.

Recent thefts from Fire and Emergency appliances and auxiliary vehicles. In the last six months we have had several items stolen from Fire and Emergency Appliances and mobile display units.
