After 46. 5 Years with the New Zealand Fire Service and Fire and Emergency New Zealand, Willie has tendered his resignation as at 5th November. Willie joined the North Shore Fire Board in 1972 working throughout all the North Shore Stations.

This year the (ITM 500) V8 Super Cars will be held over 3 days at the Pukekohe Park Raceway on the 2nd to 4th November. The Pukekohe Volunteer Fire Brigade is once again supporting this event due to its size and International exposure.

The Communication Centres are preparing for a significant system upgrade. To prepare for that upgrade, testing of all Fire and Emergency New Zealand ComCen interfaces must be carried out ahead of time. All operational personnel must carry their allocated pagers for turnout.
