The expansion of incidents Fire and Emergency is now required to respond to has seen an increase in our personnel working on or near the road and carrying out Stop/Go duties.
Please ensure that all personnel are aware of changes to M5 PL National Response Plan and M4-1 GD Civil Defence and Emergency Management Guide.
Advise personnel that the requirements for decontaminating when leaving farms with Mycoplasma Bovis (M.Bovis) have changed.
Urgently check the circlip fasteners on the pawl arrester device on the AS aluminium trussed 10.5 & 14m (464) rescue ladders as detailed below.
ActionAll Auckland-based personnel are strongly encouraged to wear face coverings when using public transport. All personnel are to continue following the SDPPP for Alert Level 1. Situation
The Government has announced that there will be no change in COVID-19 Alert Levels today. New Zealand remains at Alert Level 1.
Action
ComCen personnel to stop COVID questioning under Alert Level 1. Crews must continue COVID-19 questioning protocols to assess risk at incidents under all alert levels. Note changes made to SDPPP 2. 3 to reflect COVID questioning during regional or national alert levels 2 to 4.
ActionAll old-style medical oxygen cylinders 180A – (see the second image below with a red cross next to it) are to be removed from service and returned to BOC Gas and Gear sites or approved agencies.

From 11:59 pm on Wednesday 7 October 2020 follow the Service Delivery Preventative Protection Protocols (SDPPP) for Alert Level 1. Please ensure all personnel are aware of the changes to the SDPPP for each Alert Level.
