Restart a Heart Day
Restart a Heart Day, is held on October 16 every year, and is a Europe-wide initiative developed by the European Resuscitation Council. It was launched in 2013 to teach members of the public how to help restart the heart of someone who has suffered a cardiac arrest.

Community welcomes new purpose built appliance
Waitakere Fire Brigade’s new appliance is one of the first in the country to show off Fire and Emergency New Zealand’s new logo. This custom built appliance is a collaborative effort by the Waitakere community and the former Auckland Rural Fire Authority, and took two years to build.
MAN Type 3 Update
Fire and Emergency New Zealand, the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union and frontline firefighters are in the process of finalising an agreement that the fixes and enhancements to the MAN Type 3 fire trucks are complete, and can be accepted back into service.
