Recommissioning and functional checks

Equipment and Logistics (E&L) are standardising equipment checks to ensure all equipment is maintained appropriately and is fit for purpose. These checks occur: 

  • after use at an incident (as part of recommissioning), and
  • at regular intervals throughout the year irrespective of use (functional checks). Note: not all equipment has functional checks.

What should I do if equipment fails a check?

If equipment fails an after-use or function check and you can't resolve this on station, follow the After use or function check fail procedure.
