We take complaints of unwanted behaviour very seriously. Bullying and harassment of any kind does not support our values or expectations of each other.
Positive Workplace Culture
The Positive Workplace Culture (PWC) programme was established to address the findings of an independent review into our workplace policies, practices and procedures to address bullying and harassment.
Our Positive Workplace Culture Action Plan was initiated to address the 33 recommendations made from the review. The Behaviour and Conduct Office was set up to implement many of the recommendations.
Our values reflect what is important to our people and set out what we believe is core to the organisation we aspire to be. To give further meaning to our values, we released our Code of Behaviour and new policies to make it clear that unwelcome behaviour will not be tolerated.
Induction and training about inclusive leadership, building respectful workplaces and how to address unwanted behaviour is also an important aspect of this programme.
Changing culture won’t happen overnight, but we are making progress to ensuring all our people are safe, welcome and included.
We are committed to providing a safe and respectful workplace free from sexual harm. It is never acceptable. Support is available if you have experienced sexual harm.
The BCO will proactively set standards, provide education, data and intelligence to prevent unwanted behaviour while managing complaints to address unwanted behaviour and working to restore positive working relationships.
The BCO, with the current interim complaints process, receives and records complaints about bullying and harassment. It provides oversight of the process, information options and advice.
The Positive Workplace Culture programme is implementing a range of initiatives to embed our values and ensure our behaviour reflects our values and a culture we are proud of.

We are providing our people with the information they need to understand unwanted behaviour, how to prevent it and how to report it.
We continue to keep our people and the public informed on the progress we are making through the Positive Workplace Culture six-monthly progress report.
