Chief Executive Kerry Gregory is consulting the whole of Fire and Emergency NZ about proposals for the structure of our Region Training team.

The consultation runs for two weeks from 3-17 February and is part of the People Branch Reset – a project to reorganise and reprioritise the branch. Decisions on the wider branch proposals will be announced on Tuesday 21 February, but the Region Training aspect had been paused to allow contract bargaining with the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union to conclude before the team structure was considered. The Region Training changes being suggested now are the same as originally proposed.

Everyone in Fire and Emergency NZ, including volunteers, are invited to give feedback on these proposals. The consultation document, draft position descriptions, and the feedback form are on the Portal(external link).
