Firefighters Welfare Society
The New Zealand Firefighters Welfare Society have been supporting firefighters and their families for over 30 years.
Members of the Firefighters Welfare Society(external link) can join their Healthcare 99 Mutual Fund(external link). This fund is not a health insurance plan but provides funds to meet healthcare bills according to the plan/schedule you sign up for.

Southern Cross Healthcare
Volunteering for Fire and Emergency New Zealand means you and your whānau (family) may pay less for health insurance because Fire and Emergency has a Southern Cross work scheme.
Volunteers joining Southern Cross for the first time will receive an 8% discount. Note: this is subject to change. Southern Cross terms and conditions apply.
