Our Proud Employer mark
We want to increase public awareness of the vital role that employers play in helping our volunteers to protect our communities.
That’s why we’ve introduced the Proud Employer mark. It represents the collaboration between us our volunteers, their employers and Fire and Emergency. The mark is a stylised flame in the shape of a matau.
On 11 August, Minister of Internal Affairs Tracey Martin(external link) unveiled the Proud Employer mark at the Tawa Fire Station. This new mark acknowledges the support of the many organisations across the country who employ Fire and Emergency volunteers, as well as self-employed volunteers.
Ensure your employer has the Proud Employer mark
Right now, we’re encouraging as many employers of volunteers as possible to register with us(external link) so that they can access the mark.
There are stickers for use on shop and vehicle windows, and digital files which can be used for business cards and email signatures, websites, social media pages, and on stationery.
Register your employer to receive a Welcome pack which includes Proud Employer stickers. For digital files, email us at employers@fireandemergency.nz.
There are also Visual identity guidelines [PDF, 3.6 MB] that show the different ways that employers can use the mark.
