“draft Volunteerism Strategy : Have Your Say”
In June 2018 the draft Volunteerism Strategy - Enabling Sustainable Volunteerism, was approved by the Board for consultation with the wider community. The draft Volunteerism Strategy acknowledges the central role of volunteers to Fire and Emergency New Zealand and affirms our commitment to volunteers and volunteerism. It has a focus on sustaining our core functions and it signals a future for a wider range of roles.
Our final volunteerism strategy will be the foundation for our work. It will set out how, over the next decade, we intend to value and respect the contribution of volunteers, their families and employers.
We are now seeking feedback on our draft strategy from all Fire and Emergency personnel, their unions and associations.
