National Operations and National Risk Reduction teams have been advised some brigade fire service inlet (FSI) couplings, risers and sprinklers inlets may contain thin walled couplings. This may place firefighters at risk of danger when in operational use.

Brigades within the Wairarapa frequently rely on the mutual support of other Brigades, when dealing with significant incidents. These incidents can often be of a lengthy duration and a complex nature.
Our expectations for this fire season are to act on eight important recommendations out of the report from the Port Hills review. We will use these actions to improve how we plan, communicate and work together, and keep ourselves and the public safe.
